Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s)

Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future, and lifelong health and opportunity. As such, early experiences are an important public health issue. Much of the foundational research in this area has been referred to as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

More videos, presentations and briefs on impact of ACEs (different terms are used such as “toxic stress”, neglect) on child development, mental health and later life outcomes can been seen here:

Impact of ACE’s

I just wanted to send you a note of thanks for all your work on FIS Carmarthenshire Website. I'm working on pulling together some information for a local initiative to educate children and teens on the consequences of drugs and alcohol. I'm working on preparing a pamphlet, and I've learned a lot from your page. I noticed that you had some really great resources. Well done!
