Parents Connect Wales will join families across the country to celebrate National
Parenting Week 2025, running from Monday 20th to Friday 24th October.
This year’s theme, “Parent Well”, highlights the importance of supporting parents to
parent well while also recognising the importance of self-care and their own wellbeing.
What is National Parenting Week?
National Parenting Week celebrates, supports and raises awareness of the vital role
that parents and carers play in shaping children’s lives.
Throughout the week, Parents Connect Wales will:
Highlight the challenges parents face
Amplify parents’ voices
Promote access to support, advice and resources for families.
This week is an opportunity to uplift parents, improve child wellbeing, and emphasise
the importance of prevention, early intervention and family support.
Parents Connect Wales
Led by Children in Wales and funded by the Welsh Government, Parents Connect
Wales gives parents and carers across Wales a voice in shaping the policies and
services that affect families.
Parents and carers have told us they want to:
Feel valued for their lived experiences
Be involved early in decision-making, not as a tick-box exercise
Receive feedback on how their input is used
By listening to parents and carers, we can help create high-quality services that
strengthen families and ensure that children’s rights are respected and fulfilled.
