BABY MASSAGE

  • Our Support workers offer FREE 4 week Baby Massage Courses to new parents in the Gwendraeth Valley.
  • Baby Massage is a great opportunity to bond with your baby, as well as helping to promote better sleep and ease colic and constipation.
  • The course is suitable for babies from birth. Times and days vary, so ask your Health Visitor for more information, they can refer you for the course.
  • The courses are held bilingually

TUMBLE FAMILY CENTRE

  • Tumble Family Centre are based in the heart of Tumble and provide FREE provision and support for families in the area from pregnancy to toddlers
  • They currently open for sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays

PLANT DEWI

Young Parents Under 26 Project

  • Plant Dewi Young Parents project runs FREE groups specifically for parents under 26. Carys and Vicky run the project and it’s a great way to make new friends, while having fun and learning new skills.
  • The group meet on: Monday 10:00am – 11:30am

FAMILIES TOGETHER

  • Families Together sessions are FREE Stay and Play sessions for you and your child(ren).  They give you an opportunity to meet other parents, for your children to play, enjoy fun activities and craft.
  • The group meet on: Mondays 1.00pm – 2.30pm

  • Plant Dewi are supporting families in Carmarthenshire by providing essential resources and equipment to welcome a new baby into their new home.

TI A FI GROUPS

  • Ti a Fi (You and Me) groups are sessions for you and our child, they are run by Mudiad Meithrin and offer a great opportunity for you and your baby to meet others, play, and socialise in an informal Welsh atmosphere .  There is a charge for these groups.

CYLCH MEITHRIN

  • Cylch Meithrin may be your child’s first opportunity to attend a setting alone.  The groups aim to promote the education and development of children from 2 years to School age.  Children have the opportunity to be with other children and to learn through play predominantly in the Welsh Language. Some groups are open five days a week, others only on some days. When your child is given a place it is normally for a set number of days per week, which will vary depending on your needs and the spaces available.  Price varies from group to group.  See information on the Childcare Offer Wales below.
  • These groups are very popular, so make sure to contact the leader early in order to book a space for your child.

  • Fathers/Fathers to be group run by Homestart Cymru – A weekly zoom meeting,  informal, safe, non-judgemental space for dads to discuss any issues or challenges they have in their lives. Fathers can self-refer by emailing Emma Griffiths: egriffiths@homestartcymru.org.uk
  • People Speak Up – Men in Conversation: A non judgemental creative time and space for men to talk and listen. Please get in touch: info@peoplespeakup.co.uk or 07972 651920 which currently takes place in Zoomtown: Every Other Tuesday 7pm
  • Men’s Shed Cwm Gwendraeth – Meet every Wednesday 1-3pm at the Old Caretakers Cottage, rear of the Old Gwendraeth School (by the Sports hall). For more information phone 07719 169151 or just turn up 🙂
