Children First is the name given to children’s zones in Wales. Their purpose is to allow the community and organisations to work together to address the needs of children and young people in their areas. There are five Children First pioneer projects:
Cwm Taf, Gwynedd, Newport, Caerphilly and Carmarthenshire.
Within Carmarthenshire, the Glanymor and Tyisha ward is the priority as it is one of the most deprived areas within the county.
The whole Carmarthenshire team are an asset to us childminders and I know from speaking to other childminders in the UK that they do not have such a fantastic team behind them. I could not recommend this enough for anyone who would like to become a childminder in Carmarthenshire.
