We have launched a number of grants to support existing businesses with growth, as well as support for new businesses to start up. Funding (gov.wales)
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) is a central pillar of the UK Government’s Levelling Up agenda and will provide funding over the next 2 years up until March 2025. Its mix of revenue and capital funding that can be used to support a wide range of interventions to build pride in place and improve life chances.

Young Person’s Start Up Grant
A grant of up to £2,000 is available to help young people under the age of 25, living or returning to Wales to become self-employed.

CHILDCARE AND EARLY YEARS SMALL CAPITAL GRANT SCHEME
We welcome applications from the following providers
- Full Day Care, Cylchoedd Meithrin, Playgroups, Out of School Care and Childminders
- Childcare settings must be registered with CIW/ in the process of completing registration
- Childcare settings must be based in Carmarthenshire and cannot apply to more than one Local Authority
How much funding is available?
- Childminders £10,000
- Childcare providers registered for 15 or fewer £10,000
- Childcare providers registered for 16 to 29 places £15,000
- Childcare providers registered for 30+ places £20,000

Sustainability Grant
The Grant is available to CIW Registered childcare provision in Carmarthenshire to help towards identified revenue costs.
Introduction
The Family Information Service, Childcare and Play team invites applications for sustainability grants to support registered childcare settings within Carmarthenshire. Grants awarded will not usually exceed £1,000.
Who can apply?
A group or individual registered with CIW working with children aged 0-12 years in a day care setting.
The service must be registered on Dewis Cymru.
- Only one application can be accepted where more than one Childminder works together.
What can you apply for?
Appropriate expenditure items incurred such as staffing costs (not covered by other grants), rent, heating and lighting, essential health and safety requirements (Annual PAT Tests, Annual Fire Alarm Tests, Fire Equipment, Boiler Service, Electricity Mains Test, Business Insurance, PPE), CWLWM Membership, First Aid Box/Resources, Accountant Fees, Professional Fees for completing HMRC Self-Assessment Forms costs incurred in running a provision during the financial year 2024-25
