Carmarthenshire Young Carers Service supports young people, aged up to 18, who are caring for a parent, or sometimes a sibling,  whentheir caring role affects their education, social life or emotional health

Carmarthenshire Young Carers Service provides  one-to-one support as well as group activities and advocacy. They can work with parents around good school attendance and support families to overcome any barriers which prevent school attendance.

What is a Young Carer?

I just wanted to send you a note of thanks for all your work on FIS Carmarthenshire Website. I'm working on pulling together some information for a local initiative to educate children and teens on the consequences of drugs and alcohol. I'm working on preparing a pamphlet, and I've learned a lot from your page. I noticed that you had some really great resources. Well done!
